Family:  Wife, Lupe.  Zena, Velvet and Bubba – our 3 dogs.

Live in San Jose, California with my wife of almost 10 years, no kids, 3 dogs.  Own an executive search firm (fancy word for a headhunter who helps accounting and finance professionals find jobs).  My wife, Lupe, works for AAA as a claims specialist.

Detailed summary:  After recovering from the fact that I didn’t have the talent or the skill to play professional basketball I discovered I wasn’t prepared for life.  Not being the sharpest tool in the shed at the time, I struggled to find myself the first few years following High School.

Tried college, but dropped out after the first semester.  Took an extended vacation moving back and forth between mom and dad’s house.  After about a year of that I decided I needed a change of scenery and moved back east to visit relatives.  After about a year I was ready to move back to Washington and try college again.  In ’87 I graduated from CWU with a degree in accounting.  A week after graduating, I rented a U-Haul trailer, packed up everything I owned in my black Trans Am and headed South for California’s three B’s (beaches, babes and booze) on a summer break a year earlier I visited a buddy of mine in Santa Cruz and learned for the first time what a thong bikini was, and made the decision right then and there that my graduate studies would include living in close proximity to one of California’s finest beaches.

After moving to California in the late ‘80’s I discovered it wasn’t the best of economic times in Northern California, even if you were in hi-tech.  I took the first job offered and moved in with that same buddy.

Met my future wife in ’88, got married in ’90.  I remember to this day what I was wearing the night I met her, a pink polo shirt, white shoes, and a white belt.  I was definitely stuck in a time warp, whether it was Dance Fever or Miami Vice, I’m still not sure!

After 10 years with the same company it finally dawned on me that I wasn’t independently wealthy and I wasn’t going to be retiring early anytime soon, so I changed careers and went into sales in 1997.  One of the best decisions of my life.  A little over 2 years later I decided to start my own company.

After high school, I attended Central Washington University for a year, then did some traveling in Europe that summer, then retuned to Goldendale where I worked at the hospital for a few years.  From there, I moved to Vancouver, WA where I met my husband, Roy.  We’ve been married for 12 years now and have 2 sons, Jacob (8) and Jeremiah (5).  I’m self employed, working at home doing medical transcription for several doctors here in town.  I really enjoy my job because I can be at home with my boys.  I’m still involved in music, singing at church and have performed with a Sweet Adelines (women’s barbershop) chorus in the past.  We enjoy the outdoors and sports activities with our kids.  It will be great seeing everyone at the reunion, I’m looking forward to it.

After high school moved to Brighton, CO supposedly for the summer.  I met and married my now ex-wife and settled down.  I attended and graduated from Front Range Community College with degrees in Business Management and Marketing (the equivalent of a 4 year degree in journalism!)  For the next few years I worked for local Grocery Stores, and then worked for different Print Shops in the Denver area.  It was while I was working at a print shop in Boulder that I discovered what I enjoyed doing most for a living, working on and with computers.  When I had finally burned out on printing, I left to work for my family business part time (providing supports and homes to developmentally disabled persons) and started up JAG Computer Service.  Last year, when returning from a business trip to Texas in October, I realized that I could no longer do both, and in February of 2000, I went solo with my computer business.  So far it has kept me busy, and paid the bills (every week I hold my breath!).  I’ve gone back to school a couple of times working towards my MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certification, and now just need to pass the 6 tests (no small feat, unfortunately!).  I’ve been lucky in having 2 great kids whom I have 50% or more of the time since divorcing in 1994.  I’m currently dating Angela Gieber, she’s from Australia and we met a couple of years ago.

I enjoyed skiing until a couple of years ago, when I switched to snowboarding and have never looked back.  I also like reading, music and going to movies and concerts as well as travel when I have a little downtime.  Over the past year I found myself looking forward to our reunion, it seemed the further into the future I went the more I wanted to reach back and touch a little bit of my past.  If you want to keep up on what’s currently going on with me, visit my website at http://www.jagcs.com and follow the About JAG link from the home page, and on the About JAG page click on an almost hidden link (more than you wanted to know).  It’s something fun that I wanted to do with my home page.

OK....so you are probably wondering about us?!?!   We have two kids...Justin is 17 and graduated this last June.....Jessie is 12 and will be starting 7th grade in Sept.

Ken worked on a couple of ranches after school....then got into truck driving (I always knew he would, he loved the trucks).....Then he did a stint in the military (our daughter was born in Tennessee) and two months later we moved to Germany.....we lived there for about three years, then Ken went to the Gulf War....the kids and I came home that Febuary. Ken finally

got to come home after spending 6 months in the middle of Iraq (I was SO happy!!!!)  Since then he has been working for a major recycle and waste company in Portland (about a 1 1/2 hr. drive from home). He is the operation manager there. This month we celebrated our 19th wedding

anniversary!!

Me.......well...I have been blessed that I have never HAD to work. Though I did work a couple of times out of boredom.....Ken was gone so much driving truck and when he was in the military, I needed something to do! While we were in Germany I was supervisor for the Government Quarters....and when we got home I worked for a couple of months at the little store here. The last couple of years I have been trying to get my family tree done AND in the process.....found two of my real aunts, an uncle.....AND  gramma that I have never met!!  (This was my real dads family--my dad died when I was three.....so I have always been curious.....) It was so wonderful....There are NO words to describe the feeling....they are the neatest people!! And in working on Ken's family tree.....it turns out that  Daniel Boone's daughter is a direct decendant of Ken's.....while one of Daniel Boone's son's is a direct decendant of mine!!!    Talk about secrets in the closet!!  LOL (explains a lot!!??)

I love gardening, reading, camping, hiking, anything historical, painting and writing (obviously!!) and being with all the kids!! (and my new camaro Ken got me for my birthday!!!  :)   YES--Black with the skirting and all!!  It's WAY TOO COOL)

The kids have really kept me busy......Justin has been a challenge since he was born.......right now I am just so thankful his diploma was signed!! (The kids STILL manage to come up with mischief that even I didn't think of!!!  LOL  ) This fall he is hoping to start an internship with the clark county fire dept. He has been with the fire dept here for about three years now....during that time he has managed to get most of the training and requirements he needs to take the test for an actual position in a fire dept. His goal is to get to smoke jumpers school!  We are proud of him......But like the mother I am.....I worry!!  What is funny is I think HE is a pyromaniac--He loves fire!! At least now him and his buddies are older and trying to go on with their lives......food lasts a little longer than five minutes around here. (Justin has been known many times to call from school and tell me 5 or 6 of his buddies "are comming over for dinner and homemade ice cream".  There is nothing like a couple hours notice for that!!!  :)  LOL

Jessie is pretty busy. She is always doing something with her many friends. (These two kids have brought so many kids into our home that we say "what" automatically when we hear "mom" or "dad"---We have a dozen toothbrushes in our bathroom (still only two kids)....and I don't even know which clothes belong to my own kids when I wash!!)  Anyway......She just finished playing baseball for the year (catcher and 2nd or 3rd are her positions) She was picked for the all stars and they played a couple games against some of clark county's kids.  They were pretty good games!! (Yes....I was the coach.........I am so GLAD its over till next year!!) Now she is getting ready to play volley ball the end of august.  I can't keep up with her.....but she keeps me "young"?!?!  She is the sunshine in my life!!

As far a pets....we have a cat-Lucy (after Lucille Ball).....a cocker spaniel-Annie (after one of my horses).......and a chocolate lab-Shelby (just cuz--but I call her "cow".....thats what she is!! , but I love her!)
